Do You Want To Join Us?

You want to learn truth about art and life in Azerbaijan? Ask people about May 10. It will tell you everything about art and life here. That day is the most important cultural, political and social orgy-action taking place in Azerbaijan. This is culmination of perverse cult of personality built up in this country during last several decades.

Every year the nation is forced to celebrate birthday of the late President Heydar Aliyev. His son, current President of Azerbaijan invested this year 40,000,000 Euro to the bring most expensive flowers from all over the world, even from Brazil, to glorify the birthday of the dictator, ex-KGB general, “savior and father of the nation.” They call this day also Flower Day trying to be subtle in their own way. They built huge flower portraits in the central parks, even the mountain close to where he was born was constructed for the May 10 celebrations. The concerts and events glorifying Aliyev’s legacy are organized all over the world.

You will see only flowers, no blood, no killed journalists, no jailed and tortured activists. Flowers must hide it all. Music, culture, art, consciousness, love, hate, colors, earth and sky, state and nation are all owned by one family. We celebrate it on May 10. Do you want to join us?
